What is your favorite TYR Suit?

What is in your training bag on a typical day?

  1. Sunscreen
  2. Extra workout clothes
  3. Some kind of snack bar
  4. A water bottle
  5. Lotion
  6. Headphones
  7. My “speed glitter” (glitter I rub on before I swim)
  8. A suit, cap and goggles

What are five things no one knows about you?

  1. I love playing any and all sports.
  2. I want to learn how to be a better cook.
  3. I swim faster when I use my “speed glitter.”
  4. I know I’m warmed up and ready to race when I’ve sneezed at least twice (weird habit, I know).
  5. I have the best family in the whole world.

What are five things that you are thankful for?

  1. My friends and family
  2. My coaches and teammates
  3. The University of Tennessee
  4. Great competitors in the US women’s breaststroke events
  5. TYR Sport for working with me as I begin my professional career

What’s your go-to breakfast?

Pre-practice: 2 hard boiled egg whites and a banana with peanut butter

Post practice: A shake or a bar, and yogurt with apples and granola

What is your greatest athletic accomplishment?

Winning short course nationals in the 100 yd breaststroke

What is your great personal accomplishment?

Graduating from the University of Tennessee

What is the best advice you have received?

Every practice is a performance and every performance is practice

If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be and why?

I hope I never get sucked into a reality TV show.

What are your hobbies outside of swimming?

Playing volleyball, soccer, reading and soaking up the sun

What is your most memorable race and why?

My most memorable race was probably the 400 Medley relay at women’s NCAAs in 2013. It was my first NCAA title, and I remember it being the ultimate team effort.

Friendly, funny and competitive

If you weren’t a swimmer, what would you be doing?

If I weren’t swimming I would heading out into the job market- and probably working with kids in some capacity.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Working in some sports related field

What advice would you give to a young swimmer/triathlete?

Set your mind to whatever you want most and find a way to make it happen.
