When it comes to race day there are few things more important to 6x IRONMAN 70.3 Champion Lauren Goss than proper preparation. From an extra cap to an instant Starbucks coffee pack, her bag is filled to the brim with everything she needs to keep moving and fueled as she competes. For the start of the race, Lauren makes sure she’s got plenty of gel, two pairs of goggles, an extra cap, her race apparel and PAM cooking spray to help her into her wetsuit.
Next, she always checks off additional nutrition for the bike, her helmet, bike shoes, two water bottles, a pair of her favorite race sunnies, her flat kit and of course, her bike.
Moving into her final transition, Lauren makes sure to pack a race belt, running sneakers, a visor or a hat and gel for the run. She also brings an energy drink for post race recovery.
