TeamTYR was unstoppable at the recent 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. With record-setting performances in the pool, and qualification to next year’s Olympic Games in open water, 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year. The competition was highlighted by Simone Manuel’s historic performance, as she became the first American woman to sweep the 50 and 100 freestyle at Worlds, as well as the first woman to win 7 medals in a single World Championships.     2020 TYR Pro Swim Series Schedule Announced

    In partnership with USA Swimming, TYR Sport is excited to announce the five stops of the 2020 TYR Pro Swim Series. Swimmers from around the globe will compete in the top swim series from coast to coast beginning in November 2019 through May 2020. Athletes will use the world-class events in Greensboro, N.C.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Des Moines, Iowa; Mission Viejo, CA and Indianapolis, Ind. in preparation for their run to the 2020 Olympic Games.     That’s right! We’re proud to welcome 4x Olympic Medalist, 9x World Championship Medalist & World & American Record Holder Simone Manuel to #TeamTYR!  At just twenty years old sprint specialist Simone Manuel turned heads at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she earned gold medals in both the 100m freestyle and the 4x100m medley. Her impressive finish in the 100m solidified Simone as the first African-American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming.
