The results are in, and it was a big weekend for #TeamTYR. With the first stop of the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series officially in the books, we were excited to see some of our favorite athletes own the podium in their all new TYR Venzos. For photos, race results and more scroll down below.
Superstar Ashley Twichell kicked off Day 1 of the meet with a big win in the women’s 800m freestyle.
#TeamTYR heavy hitters Katie Ledecky and Simone Manuel took to the podium with a one-two punch in the women’s 200m freestyle. Later that evening Katie went on to also win the women’s 400m IM.
Fly girl Kelsi Dahlia picked up a first place win for her swim in the women’s 100m butterfly.
It was another exciting day of competition for #TeamTYR athletes with Simone Manuel and Margo Geer taking first and second place in the women’s 50m free.
On the men’s side, Michael Chadwick picked up a second place finish in the same event.
Kelsi Dahlia was also back at it in the butterfly, this time taking third place for her swim in the women’s 50m fly.
Going three for three, GOAT Katie Ledecky took her place on the podium with a big win in the women’s 400m free.
#TeamTYR continued to dominate well into the last night of competition with Katie Ledecky and Ashley Twichell coming in first and second for their swims in the women’s 1500m freestyle.
Next to hit the podium was Molly Hannis, who scored a major win in the women’s 50m breaststroke.
Once again #TeamTYR celebrated a one-two punch with Simone Manuel and Margo Geer in the women’s 100m freestyle.
On the men’s side, Michael Chadwick rounded out the night with his win in the same event.
